Abminga Project
EL 4001
InterMet is targeting Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG), Orogenic Gold and Sedimentary Uranium mineralisation.
Joint Venture Partners
The Abminga project comprises of approximately 1000 km2 of vastly underexplored ground along the margin of the Gawler Craton. InterMet believes has the potential for Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG) and gold mineralisation related to tectonic activity along this margin.
Basement units are not exposed in the area, due to the extensive sediment cover of the Eromanga Basin placing an emphasis on regional geophysical and geochemical assessment of the area.
Apart form the IOCG prospectively of the area, InterMet is also looking to investigate the potential of these cover sediments to host sedimentary uranium. Uranium could potentially be sourced from the Gawler Craton and deposited within pyrite-rich units of the Basin.
