Simplified surface geology of the Mt Ruby iron prospect showing the magnetite outcrop and subcrop.

The ironstone and magnetite skarn assay up to 69.48% Fe with low phosphorous and silica.  On the western side of the hill, zones of ironstone(?) containing a higher garnet content (up to 30%) were also observed.

Coarse magnetite crystals with minor hematite produced by weathering of primary magnetite. this sample assayed 68.7% Fe.
